The Orchard School Learners Raise Money for Local Hospice

Learners from Class 9 at The Orchard School managed to raise a whopping £92.50 for St Andrew’s Hospice through a fundraising  event planned and implemented all by themselves.

Every detail was thought through, from the tabletop sale and action learners planned, to creating posters to promote the fundraiser, setting prices and purchasing items to sell.

The learners were so proud to present the money they had raised, which will  go towards the  running costs of the Hospice and go a small way in helping them continue to provide the vital services that they do.

Steve Broderick, School Principal, said,

“Fundraising for our local community is very close to our hearts and class 9 did an amazing job in raising much needed funds for our local hospice.  We are all so proud of the charitable spirit of our learners and their desire to give back to their local community.”
