The Orchard School in Grimsby, combined fundraising with fun and learning as part of Numbers Day on 7th February.
Numbers Day, a fundraising initiative for the NSPCC, gave learners the opportunity to dress up and apply their maths skills to everyday scenarios.
Staff and learners were invited to come to school wearing number clothing and a range of number themed activities and learning were enjoyed. Bingo games and a tombola gave learners the chance to win some fantastic prizes, whilst raising money for a worthwhile cause.
Steve Broderick, school Principal said, “We would like to thank everyone who donated to the event. We are always looking for ways to support charity, both locally and for larger charity organisations as we know this is an important thing for our learners to take part in, as well as hopefully doing some good. The fact we could also use the event to support our learners with their maths skills whilst having lots of fun was such a bonus!”.
