In June, as part of their PLP programme, Class 2 did an amazing job raising funds for Grimsby Food Kitchen and The Canoe River Cleaner by taking part in a 10k sponsored walk between the Sargon and Laceby site. The idea to do this as part of their Personal Learning Programme, came from the class group.
The KS4 learners at Laceby were not to be out done with a couch to 5k challenge that ended with them completing the full 5K. Jack even managed his in an impressive 26 minutes. The Key Stage 4 learners wanted to raise money for the Dogs Trust as they love to raise money for animals, similar to their trek in the spring that raised money for the Blue Cross.
Nat Potter said “The learners worked so hard on the day and have been very impressive in their commitment to make the world a better place. They are a good lesson to us all.”
