The Orchard School win new bikes during ‘Cycle to School Week’
As part of “Cycle to School” week, Centre Manager of The Orchard’s Sargon Way site, Heidi Higgins entered a competition to win new bikes for the school. Heidi’s entry won and so in October 2023, the school took delivery of three sparkling new bicycles. The school now hopes to partner with their local Bikeability scheme to help equip their learners with cycling and road safety skills. Centre Manager, Heidi Higgins said,
“We were so delighted to win the competition! This will allow our learners not only to acquire new skills, but also to help them gain independence, practise social skills and gain a sense of wellbeing, not to mention the opportunity to learn about bicycle maintenance. We can’t wait to get started!”
